Handsome 6 pipe holder/pipe display. Made for tobacco pipes. Mid Century Modern design. Most likely made by the Decatur Industries group in the 60's. The wood is Walnut. Gorgeous routing on the top and bottom edges. Perfect circles at top for stems and ovals at bottom for pipe end. Tapered hourglass pillars to hold second tier. Felted bottom. A very solid and structurally sound piece. The wood and finish are in good condition with scratches, scuffs, finish loss and darkening in spots under pipe rest indicative of age and use. It measures overall 6" W x 11 3/4" L x 5" T. The space between tiers is 3 3/4". There is a space in the center for a jar 5-5 1/4" in diameter. It weighs 1 lb 7 ounces. It will be shipped via USPS.
