Very nice vintage shoe shine box. Made of pine with metal/brass colored latch and hinges. It is a walnut color finish (orangish brown). The box is structurally sound and overall in good vintage used condition. There is wear to its finish throughout a few nicks on the edges and a black stained spot from the polish inside at the bottom of the inside of the box. The latch and hinges work, the latch is fastened to the box tightly, but the upper bar is loose so can be moved down when it is in the latched position. (See pics for details). Great practical decor element. The box measures overall approximately 10" L (not including latch and hinges 6 1/2" W x 11 1/2" T (including shoe form at top). the box itself is 6 1/2" W 10" L x 8 1/4" T. It weighs 5 lbs 1 ounce.
