Originally manufactured by the renowned American Seating Company (the famous "Envoy" or "Crusader" model), this industrial-grade steel and wood desk has been thoughtfully updated for modern homes, playrooms, or homeschool setups. The metal has been painted white. The seat and back of the chair are wood and are an orangish brown color. The desktop is wood with a freshly hand painted interactive chalkboard top. This is an authentic, mid-century piece built to survive decades of classroom use. Because of its genuine history, it features beautiful, honest vintage character:The original factory welds and height-adjustment bolts stand out beautifully under the fresh white paint.Please Note: As shown in the close-up photos, there are minor, typical cosmetic imperfections and wear in the wood veneer along the curved front edge of the seat, as well as the top and bottom edges of the wooden backrest. This structural wood remains completely sturdy and solid, but holds a lovely aged patina. The desktop will be removed for safe and economical shipping. (6 screws to re-assemble). We will provide instructions as well.

We use Fed Ex Ground/Home Delivery to ship large and furniture items. Local pick up is also available (pick-up must occur within 30 days from purchase date.)
