Originally used in the mid-to-late 20th century to store and transport large wheels of cheese, this primitive utility piece is perfect for modern farmhouse staging, unique storage, or as a decorative tabletop riser. It is in good vintage used condition with imperfections indicative of age, use and storage, ie rust on metal surfaces and blemishes to the wood surfaces, ie splits, cracks, mars, marks and misshapen wood. All the things that make it an authentic and charming antique rustic piece. Please review pics for details. Based on the physical construction and the distinct style of the handwritten markings, this cheese box was made between 1920 and the 1950. It measures approximately 15" in diameter x 5 3/4" T. It will be shipped via USPS.
